Bangaram Island

Fringed by a continous silvery beach is the Bangaram Island Resort which lies
in 128 acres of tropical paradise . The Resort is encircled by a lagoon 10 km
long and 6 km wide consisting of an area of approximatly 40 sq. km. with the
exception of the Resort, Bangaram is totally uninhabited. The lagoons around
the islands are beautiful and clear, offering excellent opportunities for swimming,
snorkelling and sun bathing. The island of Bangaram is the only resort developed
for accommodation and watersports and
it is possible to cruise around the island. For dedicated anglers there is tuna
fishing and for marine-life lovers, there are glass-bottom boats available.
The water is crystal clear and immensely rich in a variety of sealife including
coral. The Resort has 30 huts with walls of bambaoo thatched with palm fronds.
here is a restaurant, a bar and a lounge. Regular air service operate from Cochin
to Agatti . From Agatti, the resort operates boat services to bangaram .
